Finding Your Center When the World Feels Unsteady

News + New Good Things from Tia Norman

“Love rushed into my veins
emptying me of myself. Now filled with the Beloved.....
my only possession is my name”

-Rumi

Peaceful, Centered + Connected

Contemplative practice is an invitation into transformation—a slow unraveling of what we thought defined us and a deepening into what has always been true. When we enter the stillness of prayer, breath, or silence, something in us loosens. The roles we cling to, the narratives we’ve constructed, even the fears that shape our decisions begin to fade.

In that sacred undoing, we encounter a Love vast enough to hold all of who we are—without pretense, without striving. And in that Love, we begin to see ourselves more clearly. Not as the sum of our achievements or the weight of our past, but as ones who belong.

When the world feels unsteady, when uncertainty presses in, we can be tempted to grasp at control, to cling to the identities and roles that give us a sense of security. But contemplation calls us to another way.

This is the work of contemplation: to let Love empty us of illusions so that we might return to the essence of our being. To be named again—not by what we do, but by the One who calls us Beloved.

We find our center—not in the chaos of the world, but in the Love that holds us and names us. This Love empties us of illusions, of false measures of worth, and gently roots us in our truest self.

This is the gift of contemplation. It doesn’t remove the uncertainty, but it teaches us how to stand in the midst of it, anchored in something deeper than the shifting tides of the world.

Transformation is not about becoming someone else—it’s about returning home to who you’ve always been. One who is filled with the Beloved.

With you on the journey.

Grace + Ease,

Tia

A New Way to See the Good News

A new way to see the Good News offers a short passage that may offer a fresh perspective or insight into the ancient collection of poems, letters, and stories known as the Bible.

I’ve called your name. You’re mine.

⎻ Isaiah 43 MSG

A Breath Prayer

Pause. Take a moment. Close your eyes. Find your breath.

Inhale: I hear my name

Exhale: I remember who I am

News + New Good Things from Tia Norman To allow oneself to be carried away by a multitude of conflicting concerns, to surrender to too many demands, to commit oneself to too many projects, to want to help everyone in everything, is to succumb to violence. The frenzy of our activism neutralizes our work for peace. It destroys our own inner capacity for peace. It destroys the fruitfulness of our own work, because it kills the root of inner wisdom which makes work fruitful.” -Thomas Merton...
